Today’s factoid of the day is: the national animal of Scotland is the unicorn 🦄

THE BIG IDEA

Arlington named fittest city in America for sixth year in a row.

Arlington has clinched the title of "America's Fittest City" for the sixth year in a row. Talk about a workout streak, eh?

The American College of Sports Medicine and Elevance Health Foundation ranked 100 cities based on 34 health indicators.

Some numbers:

  • 89.9% of Arlington residents exercised in the last month which is the highest percentage in the nation.

  • Only 5.8% of residents have diabetes (lowest in the nation).

With an abundance of parks, trails, and wide sidewalks, Arlington residents are practically "forced to be active," according to Dr. Stella Volpe, chair of the American Fitness Index Advisory Board.

So, dear readers, the next time you're debating between binge-watching another series or going for a walk, just ask yourself:

"What would an Arlingtonian do?"

(Spoiler alert: They'd probably be halfway through their 10k by now)

Reader Restaurant Recommendation: One of our readers, Alexander, recommends you guys check out Fat City Kitchen, located in the landmark area of Alexandria.

Alexander says this place is his family’s go-to spot, and for good reason too. The food never misses, the service is friendly, and the drinks are very creative (and strong 🍸️)
